A year later, it is unclear how Michael Schumacher's condition

Sunday, December 29, 2013, there is a year to the day, the former driver Michael Schumacher fell while skiing in Meribel (Savoy), violently banging his head against a rock. Suffered a serious head injury requiring two successive surgeries, the seven-time world champion in Formula 1 (1994 to 2004) was then placed in an artificial coma, from which he emerged in June.
How is it going today? The French Philippe Streiff, former F1 driver became a quadriplegic after an accident in 1989, saying close to the Schumacher family for optimism in an interview published Sunday, December 28 in Le Parisien: "It gets better even if the consequences are very heavy. But he still has not regained the power of speech, and communicates with the eyes. It still begins to recognize his own, his wife and children, but it has big memory problems. »
Philippe Streiff claims to possess this information "largely thanks to Professor [Gerard] Saillant," Chairman of the Medical Commission of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), and close to Michael Schumacher.
Professor Saillant denied on Sunday night: "For a year, I have never had any contact, verbal or physical writes Philippe Streiff (...) Over the past year, ever family or real friends of Michael n 'communicated outside the press Sabine [Kehm, official spokesperson of the Schumacher family]. Any journalist can testify that for a year I consistently refused any interviews or TV show. »
